Diffractive Dialogues is a three-day immersive gathering where three selected artists are invited to exchange practices, ideas, and gestures in a shared space of ongoing inquiry. This format is inspired by Karen Barad’s concept of diffractive engagement - as a way to think about how artistic material shifts as it moves through different perspectives, bodies, and sensibilities.
The central questions guiding this format are:
What if giving feedback became an act of "reading through"—
diffracting and filtering artistic material through one's own practice?
How would this approach transform the feedback process?
Diffractive Dialogues is a format born in 2022 - designed to foster discussions around and through performative, somatic, and artistic practices.
At each encounter, we welcome and value the contributions of all peer-professionals committed to exploring the embodied experience and its potential to generate knowledge and foster critical discourse.
