In 2026, BACKPULVER will host five Diffractive Dialogues events and invites five Vienna-based artists to take on the role of teaching artists, each assigned to one event. Each selected artist will in turn:
- Propose a Vienna-based peer artist with whom they wish to engage in an artistic dialogue within the event.
- Collaborate with a third artist, invited by BACKPULVER, who will support their exchange through moderation and documentation
- Co-curate the content of the event together with BACKPULVER
Each Diffractive Dialogues is therefore led by a team of three artists—the teaching artist, their proposed peer, and a documenting artist— their exchange open to a wider group of participating professionals.
